http://www.girlgamer.com/ is a great website for the community of Girl Gamers. I recommend checking it out if you're one of the few of us who are REAL girl gamers, not one of those chicks who thinks that if they play COD or Black Ops once they are considered a Girl Gamer.
Hey there! I haven't posted on here for ages!! My internet has been down a lot lately, what with the recent storms and overcast weather and such. Anyway I will try to update my blog a lot more often. Not that anyone really reads many blogs nowadays :P

I hate the way that some teens talk about sex, like it is cool to let someone use you body. It is supposed to be an act of love between two people who feel completely at one with another, someone who you know respects you and you feel comfortable with. Not just for the fun of it. It disgusts me when I hear people talking about their sex lives so openly, like it isn't a private matter. It is about love, compassion and intimacy, not one night stands and 'fucking random chicks/guys'. It makes me sick to know that there are young girls out there doing this, thinking that it is normal to let men take advantage of their feelings, and their bodies. It just isn't right.
Then the topic of teenage mothers. I am not against that if the baby is going to be raised in an
appropriate environment, to be happy and healthy and live a good and wholesome life. If the parents of the baby love each other and know that they are ready to take on the responsibility of a child, then it shouldn't be an issue. In conclusion I am purely stating that I hope some teenagers can earn some self respect, and don't give their bodies away to just anyone, anywhere.

I had a dream that no one else could have, And I threw away everything that I didn't need, Thoughts that I can't surrender dwell in my chest, Even if I'm still in the rift between reality and ideals, And my feet are bound by shackles of sacrifice, My overflowing impulses aren't fully repressed, Because I have a heart that yearns powerfully. "Lies" "Fear" "Facade" "Grief".. I won't be weak enough to be apprehended by the various negative things; I'm a trickster who doesn't know loneliness..

This is my little Hikaru. I am a huge fan of Axolotl's. They are one of the coolest creatures in the world in my opinion. Did you know that if they get hungry to the point of starvation they will eat their own limbs. Which will then grow back in time?

My recent Art assignment involves writing an analysis and comparing two different artists and their artworks. So, I thought okay this could be easy if I like who I am writing about. Look at the list and every suggested artist is Aboriginal. I have nothing against Aboriginal people whatsoever, I am probably the least racist person could meet, but I was disappointed that my teacher hadn't given us a wider diversity of artists to choose from. So, after negotiating with her, she decided to let me write about my favourite artist, Yoshitaka Amano. Now I am actually looking forward to the assignment as he is an amazing example of a talented artist, whose style is similar to my own. Above is his Artwork, Behemoth.

Butterfly - Burliegh Heads QLD

Burliegh Heads Australia, my absolute favorite holiday destination. I took this shot from the balcony of the sky-rise that we were staying at, Second Avenue.. I love the way the sun is setting onto the edges of the building, just on the opposite side to these is the ocean, you get a clear shot of it from the balcony.

Life is short.
Time is fleeting,
Uncover the True Nature.
Purify the
mind and heart
to attain happiness
Be kind; be compassionate
Be generous; do good.
Concentrate.
Understand.
Awaken.

This is a very large destruction vehicle, i snuck into a construction site to get some photo's of it close up :)
Aren't they beautiful? I stalked these Pelicans for about half an hour to get this shot and many others. I just couldn't resist them.

For Mitchell Drake

You are the only one for me

the only one I love

in your eyes I see

heaven and above

I love you with my heart

I love you with my soul

we cannot be apart

with you I feel whole.

You are my sunshine

my inspiration

never undermine

my determination

to make us last

we'll stay together

forget the past

and be one forever

Pablo

As I was typing my last post, i heard my Mum screaming as she was watering the garden. She came across this little guy and she is absolutely petrified of frogs, so I had to save her. The little frog accompanied me for a while, sitting on my laptop screen while I typed away. I named him Pablo, it seems to fit.

The Monarch

I just love butterflies. I wish that I could say that I took the above photograph, but sadly I didn't. The Monarch is one of the most common butterflies around and it is very beautiful. Just like my butterfly Roberto.

Some flowers that I photographed at my Nana's house in Toowoomba QLD. I love the water droplets, they make the photo seem so much more natural.

The Return by Francis Meynell.

I cannot bear the thought that I will cease to love you when I die. But think, my dear, we both were dead, As long before those words were said. As we'll be after; Death extends both ways towards its endless ends; As well the infinite past demand As grasp the future in your hand. You grieve, 'How in sap we were before our loves began to stir'; Forgetting that an absolute dearth lay on the barren side of birth. No unknown sea, no alien shore, Awaits: we've travelled there before. So when, this dear day being done, we (resolute, self sustained, alone, our passion packed, a sheet drawn over all the used hopes of love and lover). To the known ends of nothing start, heeding no charm, needing no chart - Quickly, hold your hand against my heart.

Highly Commended

I recently entered the above photo in this Stanthorpe Show and received a highly commended. I was happy with the result as I wasn't expecting any credit whatsoever for my photographs. The photo is of my younger sister K'niesha sitting on the river bank of Wooli in NSW.

There aren't many things in this world that are more beautiful than the butterfly. From the simple Monarch to the magnificent Queen Alexandra, they are all unique and precious in their own way. I have always been a big fan of them and in this photo above is me with a Monarch that I nicknamed, 'Roberto'. He was lovely, but injured and he died soon after this photo was taken. Just one of the many miracles that this world has to offer.
