Highly Commended

I recently entered the above photo in this Stanthorpe Show and received a highly commended. I was happy with the result as I wasn't expecting any credit whatsoever for my photographs. The photo is of my younger sister K'niesha sitting on the river bank of Wooli in NSW.

Yumi - Blurb for my Novel

There was once a young woman, who for most of her life had lived alone. She grew accustomed to her lifestyle, and couldn't imagine living any other way. She lived in a small hut, surrounded by beautiful gardens, filled with luscious fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs. She believed that at the end of every life, what has been taken from the earth must be given back. So, each time she ate a piece of fruit or a vegetable from her garden, she replanted the seed so to start the cycle of life again. She knew that one day, she too would have to give her body back to the earth, once her time had come. The young woman was named Yumi. This is the story of her life, which was filled with joy, love, happiness and loss.
